Nikola was exposed to the world of contemporary dance while studying in The Hague, through friendships turned to collaborations. Since then, he has had several opportunitis to (co)create music for dance.

- modular synth improv for PreP dancers (Arts Umbrella, Vancouver) with Rory Cowal (2017)
- music for TILT Artist in Residence Heather Myers. Filmed at the Grandview Heights Aquatic Center designed by HCMA (2016)
- work in progress by Heather Myers presented at Springboard Danse Montreal (2015)
- research-based co-creation, involving 2 dancers and 5 musicians, performed at Switch Festival 2013, Netherlands Dance Theater.
